I moved to Oregon in September 1992 with my husband Mark and our family of dogs and cats. I usually have a dog or two sleeping near by while I work and occasionally a cat in my lap. We live in SW Portland where we enjoy working out of our respective home offices.
I worked for small CPA practices for 20 years, then owned my own CPA practice for 11 years before opening up the boutique bookkeeping & consulting business in 2013 that serves small business owners.
Over the years I have seen hundreds of books and worked with hundreds of business owners. I found that most business owners want to have a streamlined workflow for their bookkeeping and management without all the paper.
I am a teacher at heart and really enjoy training my clients through one on one consulting or through group workshops on how to create and manage a profitable sustainable business.
My husband, Mark is a photographer and teacher and so I have been around photography for over 30 years. I am involved in our state photography association, Oregon Professional Photography Association, Inc., OPPA. I am also a member of the national association, Professional Photographers of America, PPA and earned my Photographic Craftsman Degree in 2017, and became a Certified Professional Photographer in 2019.
I teach workshops for both OPPA and PPA on topics such as QuickBooks Online, Profitable sustainable business management & How to attract Perfect Customers.
I am also an animal lover and enjoy volunteering for our neighborhood animal shelter Animal Aid where I get to help some wonderful cats and dogs that are looking for that special forever home.
I was also a part of a program where volunteers have taken their dogs to Dove Lewis, where they donate 1 pint of blood every 3 months helping to provide life saving blood transfusions for their fellow canines.
